so much loss at the hands of someone dating one of the victims.

he kills his girlfriend and her RA, then goes back to his dorm to arm up for more bloodshed?

it’s interesting to think one day you could be a kid preparing for your future…the next day a victim of some love-lost psychopath.

    i can see getting upset over a break-up, but…christ.

i don’t understand how people are capable of escalating to that level of violence.

      Nobody is worth that.

And the loss of life is infuriating.

You go to school and you happen to be an unlucky one in a certain dorm, and you end up shot to death. Stupid, stupid.

          they are ok.

          t’is no good though.

word is it was some asian kid with a vendetta and not your typical white nutjob

someone remarked that that seemed culturally odd considering…murder seems to have no prerequisite anything anymore, educated uneducated…those supposed crimes of passion really scare the shit out of me

but yeah…wow is all I can say about it

            Re: grand cinnamon!

I am glad they are ok. XO

            Woah…Asian kid? Random…

            Yeah.

What scares me is that this shit seems to be happening more and more and more….

Like…why are people getting so much more violent and aggressive? o_O

            Re: grand cinnamon!

it couldn’t be video games or anything right?

no way! and violent tv! the demoralization of kids and the integration of internet in place of tv as a babysitter?

kids always knew about guns. we were just afraid of them, and we certainly wouldn’t think that shooting anyone would have been appropriate in just about every instance.

i wonder if he played video games. seems like a scene right out of one of those , huh?

          • ofmonsters says:

            Re: grand cinnamon!

I agree. Kids seem so f*cking casual about guns nowadays. Like…I am still afraid of guns. I don’t even want to pick one up, much less fire it, much less at another human being. I think our society is getting progressively desensitized to violence; and you are absolutely right—video games and t.v., etc. are most likely the reason why.

            Re: grand cinnamon!

you girls are on point about the violence tip – kids are totally desensitized to it, and the level of violence they see on a daily basis is so cartoon-ish that they have no idea what kind of actual damage they’re doing until they are too far gone to see it.

real blood does not look like movie/video game blood.

real guns do not leave pretty holes.

real people do not die with a sputter and a wheeze and a closing of the eyes.

i also think that we’re living in a culture that is over-saturated with news/bullshit/opinions, and all of that crap creates even more pressure for people to have “shiny happy lives,” and once kids realize all of that is a shiny happy lie – they snap.

personally, i think we need to start putting valium in the nation’s water supplies.

the current climate in this country fills my dreams with bombs and carnage.
