Cold cold hot hot world
Today’s news: Sean and I are going to the Tattoo Convention to see about work. Moreso for him of course. My entire hidden agenda involves finding myself a new tattoo artist boyfriend to do all the work I need to finish my shit. So sick of answering those “are ya gonna fill it in?” questions. Plus, tattoo boys are hot shit and I have dated only 2 people with any kind of major work. It certainly has never been a prerequisite of mine in any way shape or form; I prefer brains over some dildo who wants to whine about how they are discriminated against because they painted themselves up outside the norm of acceptable societal standards. What is that all about anyhow? You are a human billboard for pain and you have issues with people remarking on it? It’s a choice, decision you made, and although in a pretty and ideal world where everyone wouldn’t judge anyone else for the choices they made, it’s pretty unrealistic not to expect a reaction. At some point in time you have to realize that you kind of do need to play the game if you want to be taken seriously. Not that I am saying change your whole self, demeanor, viewpoints, what have you, but I would never try to be an investment banker and go into the interview in a sleevless dress. You gotta look the part to play the part.
News…of course Johnnie and I are perma-caputs. Which makes a lot of sense to me; at some point during the relationship we decided focusing on conflict was somehow more important than focusing on us.
And in other breaking news: I’m moving west but keeping my place here. Rent is under $600, and I would never give the proximity to NYC up for anything. I’m moving to La Jolla with Valerie (a new Valerie, not Francis) who has become very cool, and is pretty much my best friend and has been for many moons now. A sprawling 3 bedroom 4 bathroom house with a garage and in inground pool a hop skip and jump from Ocean beach. Oh my-winters without ice and cold and bullshit? Oh yes. Oh yes. I think so.
I have an opportunity to work in London that a friend of mine who works for Cold Steel got for me. Not involving piercing, but it’s nice to have your friends. So this would be for part of the summer-I’m so sick of my job right now. Then I bust back, go to Burning Man, and run to California for a time.
Aside from that I am the same quirky girl who’s all soft inside with the walls of a flaming bitch still up. I really don’t see a problem with it: I hate wasting time on people who have nothing to offer a conversation or interaction. New York is all about wasting time with that shit and I have bailed out of it all.
WHoa. Summer. I love it. I cannot wait for multiple days of 90% humidity and 90+ degrees outside.
Oh, and another reminder: miserable failure on google, hit I’m feeling lucky. Then weapons of mass destruction, I’m feeling lucky. Read this error page very carefully.
Oh oh oh. PS. I started a production company with Valerie. We have two feature length film projects back-to-back. We are doing tshirts and putting out a controversial magazine. Cuz we rock, yea.
I hang out on myspace more than I do here anymore. My opinions are a bit too streamlined for this place sometimes. I mean how many lame conversations can you have about tattoos and piercings? It gets so fucking old after a while.
