So my birthday was lame, for a number of reasons. Mostly because I was
coerced into working my first week day night in a bar that is so
neighborhood, it hurts. Me being a resident of downtown Jersey City
makes me a little less cool, and of course non-working trips to hang
out are rare and unnecessary. That and the fact that I was stupid hotly
dressed last night didn’t make for a good tipping experience. They say
in the service industry the less put together you look, the more people
tip. So it’s turtle necks and long sleeve shirts from now on. I was
wearing hip hugger black pants, and a short puff sleevedĀ  black
lip service shirt with four snaps down the center. You could see my
chest, my lower belly and my lower back when I wore it last night. I
tried to calm it down with red and green accented black arm bands, but
it didn’t work. The sneakers (black and silver sauconys didn’t seem to
work. My hair was brushed straight and flat ironed so it rested below
my shoulders. A spackling of pinkish gold lip gloss and I was off and
ready to go.

But next time I will be white trash hot, or not.

I have been having good conversations, interactions with people lately.
Amado came to visit the other day, and I was surprised to know he
wouldn’t be available for further comment after November 26th of this
year. A has some religious beliefs that have to do with schooling
in India, he has scripture on his arms which he said would scare away
anyone speaking punjabi. They are a warrior’s shield because apparently
some of his schooling at various temples included defense training of
two different sorts. Apparently Kama Sutra was schooled as well, but I
wasn’t about to touch that. He is going through some thing for the
fifth time now, which includes a five day water-filled fast at the end
of it. It’s withdrawing certain items for the diet for several months,
stopping shaving and all that. I don’t understand the aspects of this
practice, as he seems to be fairly secretive about all of it. He rubbed
my neck the other night in pure opium patchouli, which was quite hot,
literally.

F is still around for what I imagine will be just a few more days. Then I am with dog, quietly stored in my apartment.

I have this thing I need to write later, but as it is, I need to do a transcription gig or two.
